Learn how to paint a rainbow with the squeegee painting technique in this St. Patrick’s Day themed painting!

In case you missed the other clover painting earlier today you can find it here: Squeegee Clover Painting
For this painting you will need:
- A squeegee
- Mop brush (if needed)
- Acrylic craft paint
- 16×20 stretch canvas
- Cotton balls
- Round brushes (Sizes 3,6, or 8)
- Size 0 detail brush
Colors:
- All the colors of the rainbow in acrylic craft paint
- White
- Sky blue
- Light green
- Dark green
Notes:
- Don’t forget! Resist the urge to fix any “oops” lines on the rainbow doing a second pass. Instead use a damp mop brush to blend the paint already on the canvas and once dry cover/fix the outside edges by layering the sky blue.
- If you don’t have a squeegee you may be able to use a stiff piece of cardboard or plastic instead. The one I had was from the dollar store and worked great!
- Not all acrylic craft paint is the same. Some brands are more transparent than others. I used Apple Barrel for this painting and their white and light green (Lime Tree shade) are a bit more opaque. You will likely need to do more than one coat on the clovers to cover all those rainbow colors though!
