In this video I walk you step by step through drawing and painting a basic maple leaf shape with fall colors. Using chalk is helpful to sketch on darker backgrounds and easy to erase when needed! The pattern around these leaves are not always perfectly symmetrical so don’t feel pressured to get it exactly the same on both sides.

More tips: Adding multiple fall colors to the leaf is so much fun! but be careful not to over blend into one shade like I did. I love how many of you suggested toning down the white highlights and swirls at the end. You could add a little of the fall colors to your white to do this, I just love bright white myself to I kept it mine the way it way. Don’t forget to add your own details and make it your own! Happy Painting 😄🎨
