Greeting Card Art

Too beautiful to throw away and way too many to display all year round. Greeting cards are a crafting material many people over look. Instead of letting them collect dust, why not create some art for the home?

That’s exactly what I did with the cards from our wedding:

After saving the special hand written notes on the insides, cut the fronts into different sized, small squares. Then lay them out on a canvas to design a collage.

You can use Mod Podge to attach and seal each piece. I focused on cutting out different shades of each color and a few specific words/patterns to help pull the entire piece together.

Now the memories from that special day can be displayed all year round <3

Never underestimate the use of greeting cards in DIY projects. They are basically free art supplies that people send in the mail! The paper is high quality scrapbook paper. I had so much left over I was able to make two other art pieces and STILL have scraps to use in the future. So “take as a gift whatever the day (or mail) brings forth” and make some greeting card art!
